Doomscrolling might feel important, but fear and anger waste energy and time. Nothing changes when we consume terrible news. But when we all act locally, the impact is huge. We need to find manageable ways to get everyone pulling together towards positive visions.

Small Changes Matter

RSFIC is a foundation dedicated to helping folks in Iowa City find those manageable and impactful actions. Since 2021, RSFIC has supported dozens of groups all over Iowa City. We’ve seen people in your neighborhood create positive change.

The basic process:

1. Envision something you’d like to see in your neighborhood.
2. Gather a few of your neighbors together to see if they share your vision.
3. If necessary, contact RSFIC for help organizing a project plan. We can provide up to $500 for your project’s initial expenses and give you a nice space to meet.
